Registration of Students
Regulation framed under section 39(2) XXIV of the East Pakistan Intermediate and Secondary Education Ordinance, 1961 regarding Registration of students of Class IX or X of the Secondary Schools. (Published in the Dhaka Gazette, Part I, dated the 15th September, 1966.)
1. The students of Class IX of all recognized Secondary Schools under the Board shall be registered on payment of requisite fee for registration. The amount of fees and. the date of submission will be notified by the Board.
2. A student once registered in Class IX (nine) will not be required to register his or her name in Class X (ten) again. But a student who has never been registered for Secondary School Certificate Examination shall have to be registered for the Secondary School Certificate Examination even though he had been earlier registered for some other examinations of the Board (Matriculation and high Madrasah, etc.).

Registration Receipt forms duly filled in and supported by the requisite registration fees in respect of all the students of Class IX (nine) whose names appear on the rolls of the school on the last day of February of each session shall be submitted to the Secretary of the Board all at a time so as to reach the Board within the prescribed dates in each session.

Registration cases of the students of Class IX (nine) admitted on transfer Certificate or otherwise according to the rules of admission of students after submission of registration cases of the original students of Class IX shall have to be submitted to the Board along with registration forms and fees within 15 days from the date of their admission, in case they have not already been registered from any other recognized school under the Board.

5. A student of Class IX (nine) coming from the jurisdiction of other Board whether registered or not shall have to be registered for the class into which he or she is admitted. Registration cases of such students along with the requisite fees must be submitted to the Board within 15 days from the date of their admission.
6. A private candidate who fails to pass the Secondary School Certificate Examination of the Board and is admitted into Class IX or X shall, on payment of the requisite fee within a month from the date of publication of results of the examinations be required to be registered as a regular student, for the class into which he or she is admitted.
7. Registration cases of students of Class IX (nine) whose break in the period of studies will require sanction of the Board shall be submitted to the Secretary of the Board duly supported by the statement form along with requisites fees for condonation of break of studies.

An Institution must obtain recognition for a session before submitting registration receipt forms and fees to the Board in respect of its students of that session and the term of its recognition should invariably be noted in the registration receipt forms against the column for the purpose.

9. A student who has not been registered with the Board shall not be admitted to the Secondary School Certificate Examination of the Board.
10. Cases not covered by the above rules will be decided by the Chairman and his decision shall be final.
11. The Board shall have the right to modify any of the provision made in these regulations and make new rule where found necessary.
